From Atomic to Mesoscale Modeling in Semiconductors

As it was recently workers started to write on the semiconductors modeling while taking into account the quantum confinement, we have pointed out since 90th and have to note here few more mechanisms which phenomena can be implemented into physical and mathematical modeling as well as for simulating codes.

Among several known consequences paying role in semiconductor devices transport there are interplay of atomic and higher (larger) scales summarizing transport evaluation.

The small size semiconductor devices can be considered with decent efficacy implying 3 (three) scale structure heterogeneity. The lowest is taken as the atomic scale material structure, while at the second (larger) scale we took a nanoscale properties and their scaled consideration. The Upper and the scale of bulk (local volume) properties is the physical mesoscale of matter.
