One of the two first publications on turbulent transport in highly porous (obstracted) volumes (areas) based on the Two Scale Turbulent Transport VAT description was the paper presented at the World Meteorological Organization Conference in May 1986.
Experimental Morphometry data for models were obtained using the rather detailed - with resolution less then a meter, topographical maps of the city of Kiev. At those times (beginning of 80-th) that was not a simple task to perform.
The report at WMO-1986 along with the Russian language publications made a starting point in the nonlinear and turbulent transport VAT governing equations and their applications studies.
